NSCDC Deploys 56,000 Personnel for Eid-el-Kabir Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 56,000 personnel across the country to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration. This initiative was communicated through a press release signed by AC Babawal Afolabi, the Public Relations Officer at the NSCDC national headquarters in Abuja.

The deployment aims to protect lives, property, and critical national infrastructure. Professor Ahm Abubakar Audi ordered the immediate mobilization of operational vehicles, ambulances, boats, and K9 units to enable rapid response during emergencies.

This action is part of a broader strategy to strengthen security coverage during the festive period and to preemptively counter potential security breaches. Special tactical squads have been placed on high alert, including a mine marshal, special intelligence squad, crack squad, and female special force rapid response squad.

The NSCDC has urged citizens to report any security threats and warned individuals or groups planning to cause trouble or vandalize public infrastructure to desist immediately, as offenders will be arrested and prosecuted.
