Delta CP Warns Cultists Ahead of Eid al-Fitr Celebrations

The Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner Aina Adesola, has issued a stern warning to cultists and other criminal elements to desist from illegal activities during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, which are set to occur on March 19-20, 2026. The police command emphasized that they are fully prepared to address any threats to public peace during this period.

Aina Adesola ordered strategic deployment of personnel across Delta State to ensure peace and security during the celebrations. The command has directed divisional police officers and tactical command units to intensify intelligence-led raids on criminal hideouts and black spots.

Deputy Commissioner of Police has been charged with ensuring effective coordination and supervision of the deployment. The police assured the Muslim community of adequate security measures to safeguard lives and property during the festivities.

The command urged residents to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
