FRSC Commends Motorists for Safe Highways During Eid

Shehu Mohammed, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), commended motorists and FRSC operatives for their efforts in ensuring safer highways during the recently concluded Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. This commendation followed a comprehensive operational report submitted by supervisory officers deployed nationwide, which indicated improvements in traffic management and a high level of compliance with road safety regulations throughout the festive period.

Mohammed noted that the cooperation of road users and the combined strategies deployed by FRSC personnel significantly reduced the risk of accidents. He described the overall performance of special patrol operations as highly commendable, despite minor challenges recorded in certain areas.

However, he warned against isolated cases of traffic violations observed during the period and urged motorists to desist from unsafe practices, emphasizing the critical need for strict adherence to traffic rules to reduce road traffic crashes and safeguard road users. The Corps Marshal expressed satisfaction with the conduct of FRSC personnel, noting no adverse reports against operations during the exercise and reinforced the Corps' zero tolerance for misconduct.
