NSCDC Deploys 53,500 Personnel for Eid-el-Fitr Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of over 53,500 personnel nationwide to enhance security for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. This initiative, confirmed in a press release signed by Afolabi Babawal, the National Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, aims to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.

The deployment order was issued by the Commandant General, Prof. Ahm Abubakar Audi, and includes tactical operations and intelligence squads across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Personnel will be strategically placed in identified flashpoints such as shopping malls, Eid prayer grounds, mosques, churches, motor parks, and recreational centers. The NSCDC emphasizes the importance of routine patrols and collaboration with other security agencies to swiftly respond to any emergencies.

Additionally, parents and guardians are urged to keep children away from trouble and report any suspicious activities to the nearest security formations to maintain peace during the celebrations.
