Oyo Police Deploy Officers for Safe Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations

The Oyo State Police Force has announced the deployment of personnel across 33 local government areas to ensure the safety of lives and property during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. This information was disclosed by the State Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, in a statement issued on Thursday in Ibadan, the state capital.

Haruna congratulated the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan and urged them to sustain virtues of peace, tolerance, and unity during this festive season. The police have implemented a proactive strategy that includes intensified patrols and a visible police presence at Eid prayer grounds, recreational centers, major highways, and public places.

Haruna directed area commands and division police officers to ensure strict supervision of operations and maintain synergy with relevant security agencies. He also urged residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant, encouraging them to report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or security post, wishing everyone a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
