Bauchi State Enhances Security for Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations

In preparation for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have deployed personnel across Bauchi State to enhance security measures. Commissioner of Police Sani Omolori Aliyu assured residents of increased safety through intensified patrols and intelligence-led operations during the festivities.

The security strategy aims to prevent crime, including Sara Suka violence, phone snatching, pickpocketing, and traffic offenses. Residents are urged to monitor their wards and report any suspicious activities to the police.

The NSCDC has deployed 1,100 personnel to safeguard lives and property during the celebrations, as stated by spokesperson Saminu Yusuf. The personnel will include uniformed officers and covert operatives drawn from various departments to ensure adequate security coverage.

The command emphasizes the importance of peaceful celebrations and encourages residents to remain security-conscious during this significant Islamic festival.
