NSCDC Deploys 1,100 Personnel for Easter Security in Bauchi

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 1,100 personnel throughout Bauchi State to maintain safety and security during the Easter celebrations, which are scheduled from April 3 to April 6, 2026. This deployment, confirmed by spokesperson Saminu Yusuf, will cover 20 local government areas within the state.

The personnel will include uniformed officers as well as plainclothes covert operatives, drawn from various departments and units across the state command. The initiative aims to ensure adequate security at worship centers and critical locations during the festive period.

Yusuf emphasized the importance of protecting national assets and infrastructure throughout the celebrations. He also extended Easter greetings to the Christian community and urged residents to maintain peace and security, while remaining vigilant and law-abiding during the holiday.
