Yobe Emir Urges Return to Farming Post-Eid-el-Fitr

The Emir of Yobe made a call to his subjects to return to farming following the Eid-el-Fitr prayer held at the Eid ground in Potiskum. He highlighted the necessity of boosting food production to stabilize the economy in the region.

The Emir described farming as a noble path to wealth that can help tackle poverty and unemployment, stressing that agriculture remains a crucial factor in Nigeria's development. He urged the youth to avoid idleness and engage in productive farming activities.

Additionally, he cautioned parents and guardians to closely monitor their children, warning against the growing threat of hard drug use among the youth. The Emir expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the opportunity to complete the 30 days of Ramadan fasting, noting that full observance was not recorded in the previous year.

He described this moment as a rare blessing and urged the faithful to sustain their virtues of patience, sacrifice, and devotion throughout the fasting period. The Eid prayer attracted a large congregation led by Chief Imam Goni Isah, who offered prayers for peace, unity, and continued prosperity for the state and nation at large.
