Sultan of Sokoto Urges Journalists to Uphold Ethics

During a traditional Sallah homage at the Sultan's palace in Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, emphasized the importance of ethics and objectivity in journalism. He made these remarks while receiving members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sokoto State Council, who visited to congratulate him on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid el-Fitr.

The Sultan highlighted the noble profession of journalism and urged practitioners, including those operating on social media, to adhere to ethical standards and conduct their duties with diligence and honesty. Usman Moham Binji, the Sokoto State Chairman of NUJ, expressed gratitude to the Sultan for his leadership and guidance during the holy month of Ramadan.
