Sultan Urges Journalists to Uphold Ethics at Tribute Event

Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III called on journalists to strictly adhere to ethical standards during the unveiling of a media gallery in memory of the late Siraji Dalhatu Sifawa, who was a staff member of Sokoto Rima Television and passed away on January 13. The Sultan emphasized the importance of verifying facts and considering the impact of reports on peace and stability.

He extolled the late Sifawa's significant contributions to journalism, describing him as a consummate professional whose influence on journalistic practice in the country is not easily forgotten. The event, organized by the Sokoto Professional Network (SPN), featured remarks from various speakers, including the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Usman Moham Binji, who praised Sifawa's legacy.

The late journalist was remembered as a rare gem in the profession, with many colleagues and family members present to honor his memory.
