NSCDC Deploys 2,150 Personnel for Eid-el-Kabir Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 2,150 personnel across Lagos State in preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, the Lagos State Command's representative, disclosed this information in a statement on Tuesday.

The deployment aims to strengthen security and safeguard lives and critical national assets, particularly during the anticipated influx of visitors to the state during the holiday period. The command has developed operational measures designed to curb crime and ensure the protection of residents and properties.

The personnel will focus on safeguarding critical infrastructure, including strategic oil pipelines, religious centers, recreational facilities, parks, gardens, and other national assets within Lagos State. Keshinro instructed officers to remain on heightened alert while discharging their duties and to uphold professionalism and respect for citizens' rights throughout their operations.

He also extended greetings to the Muslim community for the Eid celebrations and encouraged reflection on the values of sacrifice and devotion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
