Eight Feared Dead in Niger State Terrorist Bridge Bombing

On March 23, 2026, a tragic incident occurred in Niger State where eight individuals are feared dead due to a terrorist bombing of a bridge along Luma Road in Borgu Local Government Area. The attack involved an improvised explosive device that detonated as vehicles were traveling, resulting in the deaths of seven occupants, including the driver.

Wasiu Abiodun, a spokesman for the Niger State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that clearance operations were ongoing in the area.
