Ejiro Peters Wins Gold at Niger Delta Games 100m

Ejiro Peters emerged victorious in the women's 100m event at the 2nd Niger Delta Games held in Benin City, clocking a time of 11.58 seconds to secure the gold medal for Delta State. Tejiri and Imoisemeh followed, winning silver and bronze with times of 11.76 seconds and 11.78 seconds, respectively.

Peters described her performance as a "golden moment" that would propel her towards future glory in athletics. She acknowledged her coach, Emili Osakw, for believing in her potential and emphasized the importance of this victory in building her future.

Additionally, 13-year-old Hephzibah Okon won gold in the women's 800m with a time of 2:18.83. In the men's 800m final, Solomon Eloghosa from Edo State won gold with a time of 1:56.74.

The event showcased various athletic talents, including Oseiw Salami, who won the 400m hurdles in 51.73 seconds.
