Ekiti State Judiciary Integrates High Court into Nigerian Case Management System for Enhanced Efficiency

The Ekiti State Judiciary has initiated steps to integrate its High Court into the Nigerian Case Management System (NCM), a nationwide digital platform aimed at modernizing court operations. Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon.

Justice Lekan Ogunmoy, disclosed this during a stakeholder roundtable. The judiciary has already complied with technical requirements, established a data center, installed a local area network, and provided training for judges, court personnel, and ICT staff.

The NCM is designed to streamline court processes, track cases, manage documents, reduce delays, curb corruption, and enhance judicial performance. Hon.

Justice Kashim Zanna, Chairman of the Judici Information Technology Policy Committee, emphasized the need for judges to embrace digital transitions for efficient legal practices. The move towards electronic filing and complementary services like e-affidavit and e-probate is expected to transform the judicial system in Ekiti State.
