Oluyede Launches Campaign for Ekiti Governorship Election

Dr. Wole Oluyede, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Ekiti State, announced plans to begin his campaign across the state's three senatorial districts and 16 local government areas ahead of the June 20 governorship election.

Oluyede reiterated his commitment to developing the state and restoring its decaying infrastructure. He spoke in Iker Ekiti during a welcome rally organized to celebrate a court ruling affirming his candidacy.

This ruling followed a challenge by fellow PDP aspirant Funso Ayeni, who sought to nullify the primary election results. The Federal High Court in Abuja had earlier ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publish Oluyede's name as the valid PDP candidate.

Oluyede expressed satisfaction with the party's support and confidence in winning the election, promising to prioritize better roads, hospitals, and schools. PDP state chairman Tunji Odeyemi also expressed optimism about the party's chances in the upcoming election.
