Oluyede Commits to Issue-Based Campaign in Ekiti Election

Wole Oluyede, the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has announced his readiness to commence a full-blown campaign in preparation for the June 20 governorship election. This announcement follows a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that recognized Oluyede as the legitimate PDP candidate, overturning a previous rejection by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Oluyede described the court's verdict as a victory for the people of Ekiti, urging them to vote irrespective of political affiliations. He emphasized that the campaign would focus on issue-based discussions aimed at transforming the state for the better.

Gani Salau, a special adviser to Oluyede, reiterated the commitment to an issue-based campaign. Additionally, the South West PDP called for intensified grassroots mobilization to support Oluyede's candidacy, viewing the court ruling as a reaffirmation of democracy and the rule of law.
