Ekiti PDP Elects Omolase as New Chairman in Congress

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State held a state congress on Saturday in Ado Ekiti, where Omolase was elected as the new chairman. The congress was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies.

Other key positions filled included Babatunde Akand as deputy chairman, Femi Philip as public secretary, and Lawrence Odunayo as organizing secretary. Bisi Kolawole, the party's national caretaker committee chair, acknowledged the internal challenges faced by the party and assured members of ongoing efforts to rebuild trust and unity.

Kolawole emphasized the importance of discipline and collaboration among party members to restore the PDP's status as a major political force in the state. Omolase pledged to lead the party with integrity and work closely with stakeholders to rebuild its structure across Ekiti State.
