Lanre Omolase Elected New Ekiti PDP Chairman

Lanre Omolase has emerged as the new chairman of the Ekiti State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) following the state congress held on Saturday in Ado Ekiti. The congress was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies.

The event produced a new executive committee, which includes Babatunde Akand as deputy chairman, Femi Philip as public secretary, Lawrence Odunayo as organizational secretary, and Olugbenga Agbed as legal adviser, among others. Bisi Kolawole, the party's governorship candidate for the 2022 Ekiti elections, acknowledged the internal challenges faced by the party and urged members to work collectively to rebuild trust and unity.

Omolase called for renewed commitment among members to ensure the PDP regains its lost ground in Ekiti State, emphasizing the importance of discipline and loyalty to the party's ideals.
