Ekiti Rep Akinlayo Kolawole Secures ₦1bn Projects

Akinlayo Kolawole, the representative for Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, revealed that he has successfully attracted projects worth ₦1 billion to his constituency over the past three years. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life in Ekiti State through significant infrastructure, education, and health improvements.

Kolawole emphasized the importance of tangible impacts rather than political patronage, highlighting that ₦200 million was allocated for constituency project funding, which facilitated the total project worth of ₦1 billion through federal interventions and partnerships, including the World Bank. Key achievements include road projects such as the Osan-Ora boundary road and the Ikosu-Erinmop road, health facility upgrades at the General Hospital in Otun Ekiti, and the installation of solar street lights.

Additionally, several public schools have been renovated, and 750 students have benefited from scholarships. Kolawole also mentioned his commitment to human capital development and employment opportunities for youth and women in the constituency.
