Ekiti SUBEB Extends Teachers’ Recruitment Exam Dates

The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has announced an extension of the qualifying examination for its ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise from two days to three days. The examination, originally set for August 14 and 15, 2026, will now take place from August 13 to August 15, 2026.

Mr. Michael Omolayo, the Permanent Secretary of SUBEB, made this announcement in Ado Ekiti on Monday, explaining that the additional day is necessary to efficiently manage the high volume of eligible applicants.

Governor Mr. Biodun Oyebanji recently approved this recruitment to enhance learning outcomes in public primary schools.

Prof. Femi Akinwumi, the Chairman of SUBEB, emphasized that the recruitment will address vacancies created by teacher retirements over the years.

Omolayo indicated that applicants would receive notifications regarding their examination dates via email and must bring printed application forms for verification. He also warned that only invited candidates would be allowed into the examination halls and that mobile phones and electronic devices are prohibited.
