Ekiti Governor Approves Recruitment of Primary Teachers

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved the recruitment of primary school teachers to strengthen the state's basic education sector and improve learning outcomes. The Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Femi Akinwumi, stated that the recruitment will be based strictly on vacancies arising from the retirement of teachers over the past few years.

This exercise aims to fill existing gaps in public primary schools and ensure adequate staffing. Governor Oyebanji's approval demonstrates a commitment to ensuring that primary schools have qualified teachers, which is essential for guaranteeing every child access to quality basic education.

The recruitment process will be transparent and merit-based, adhering to established guidelines, with priority given to critical subject areas and underserved communities.
