Ekiti State University Awards Honorary Doctorate to Adeyeri

On Saturday, Ekiti State University conferred an honorary doctorate on Abayomi Adeyeri, recognizing his outstanding professional achievements and unwavering commitment to excellence in Nigeria's financial services sector and entrepreneurial development. Adeyeri, hailing from Owo, Ondo State, has a strong educational background, having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from Ondo State University in 1990 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maiduguri in 1994.

His career began in academia as a lecturer at the University of Maiduguri before transitioning to the banking sector, where he worked with institutions such as Diamond Bank PLC and Ecobank Nigeria. Notably, he led a project team that successfully implemented a management information system at Ecobank Nigeria, earning international recognition.

Adeyeri is also a senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria and an ambassador for peace with the United Nations. He is actively involved in community service and has authored books aimed at inspiring young professionals.
