University of Abuja Graduates 17,300, Honors Dr. Odili

The University of Abuja held its convocation ceremony, graduating 17,300 students and conferring honorary degrees to Dr. Paul Odili, founder of Paulo Group of Companies, alongside two other distinguished Nigerians.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Hakeem Fawehinmi disclosed that this event marked the 29th convocation for the 2022/2023 academic session and the 30th for the 2023/2024 session.

A total of 48 graduates achieved first-class honors, while 2,048 received second-class upper degrees. Prof.

Fawehinmi urged graduates to apply their experiences towards Nigeria's socio-economic development and to uphold integrity and discipline in their future endeavors. Dr.

Odili, in his acceptance speech, encouraged Nigerians to pursue their dreams and emphasized the importance of belief in one's aspirations. The ceremony highlighted the university's commitment to expanding infrastructure and improving student welfare, with calls for stronger collaboration with the private sector to address challenges, particularly in student accommodation.
