ADC's Bejid Loses Polling Unit to APC's Oyebanji

In the ongoing Ekiti governorship election, Dare Bejid, the candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), suffered a defeat at his polling unit, Ekiti Ward II, Poll Unit 004. The official results announced on Saturday revealed that Bejid garnered 37 votes, while the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged as the clear winner with 140 votes.

Other candidates, including the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate, received three votes, and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Wole Oluyede, received two votes. These results are part of the ongoing vote tally across the state as residents participate in the 2026 governorship election to select the next governor of Ekiti.
