Fayose Accuses El-Rufai of Turning Kaduna into Muslim State

Ayodele Fayose, former Governor of Ekiti State, has publicly criticized Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, accusing him of turning Kaduna into a Muslim state during his administration. Fayose made these allegations in a Facebook post on Wednesday, highlighting the marginalization of Christians under El-Rufai's governance.

He also mentioned that El-Rufai's administration was linked to a corruption scandal involving 432 billion naira. Meanwhile, El-Rufai is currently embroiled in legal issues, as a court in Maitama, Abuja, has adjourned his bail application until April 23, 2026, deeming the request premature.

The presiding judge, Joyce Obehi Abdulmalik, stated that El-Rufai will remain in custody pending formal arraignment. His legal team was not permitted to move the bail application during the court session, marking a significant development in the ongoing legal battle involving the former governor and the federal anti-corruption agency.
