Bobai Defends Musa's Support for Tinubu Amid Criticism

Victor Mathew Bobai, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, issued a statement in Kaduna defending Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.), the Minister of Defence, against political attacks related to his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bobai questioned the rationale behind criticizing Musa, arguing that his support for the President should not make him a target.

He challenged critics to assess Musa's professional and national service record before subjecting him to criticism. Bobai noted that Musa's refusal to hide his political convictions has drawn ire from some political opponents.

He emphasized the importance of presenting credible alternatives in the political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections, advocating for responsible opposition and competition based on ideas. Bobai warned against allowing political ambition to compromise national peace and unity, stating that no political ambition is worth the blood of innocent Nigerians.

He called for democratic engagement and respect for the electoral process.
