Jimi Lawal Wins Ogun ADC Governorship Primary Election

Jimi Lawal emerged victorious in the Ogun State ADC governorship primary election, held over the weekend across 236 wards. He received a total of 19,428 votes, significantly outpacing his competitors: Abiodun Collin Ogundip, who garnered 5,775 votes, and Dr.

Mari Abolaji Odusina, who received 4,825 votes. The results were announced by Barrister Adebimp Adelowo, the Secretary of the Ogun State Governorship Primary Election Committee, at the party's secretariat in Abeokuta.

Adelowo emphasized that the ADC remains a strong party in preparation for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The primary election was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), ensuring an orderly conduct.

Lawal previously served as a special advisor to former Kaduna State Governor El-Rufai from 2015 to 2022.
