NFF Inaugurates Electoral and Appeals Committees

On Thursday, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) inaugurated its electoral and appeals committees, which are responsible for overseeing the elections of the NFF Executive Committee for the term spanning 2026 to 2030. The inauguration was led by NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau at the NFF secretariat in Abuja.

Barr Matthew Burka, a senior advocate in Nigeria, represented the committees and assured that they would conduct the elections with seriousness and integrity, aiming for a credible process that would be recognized globally. The electoral committee includes members such as Alhaji Babagoni Grema, Alhaji Batur Musa, Ayibay Peter, and Hon Dr.

Akogun Olugbenga Omol, while the appeals committee features Hon Justice C.J. Anek and Professor Abdulmalik Awwal, among others.

The NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, will serve as the secretary of the committees.

The elections are scheduled to take place in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Saturday, September 26.
