Bayelsa APC Registers Over 500 Support Groups Ahead of Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State has successfully registered more than 500 non-governmental organizations and support groups as part of its strategy to bolster grassroots structures in preparation for upcoming electoral contests. This announcement was made by the party’s state Youth Leader, Abi Morris, during a meeting with the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum leadership at the party’s secretariat in Yenagoa on a Friday.

Morris indicated that the ongoing online enumeration of these groups is a strategic initiative aimed at formally integrating support organizations into the party's activities, thereby creating a reliable database for improved coordination and engagement. He emphasized the importance of this registration process in promoting inclusiveness and strengthening the party's internal structure, urging eligible organizations to register before the July 31 deadline.

Deme Ataribo Ayawari, the Director-General of the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum, noted that this initiative would empower support groups to engage more actively in party affairs. The forum also expressed its commitment to grassroots mobilization to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC candidates in future elections.
