Adam Oshiomhole Condemns Electoral Fraud as Worst Crime in Democracy

Former Edo State Governor, Adam Oshiomhole, labeled electoral fraud as the worst crime in democracy during a recent interview. He expressed concerns about the manipulation of election results through vote buying, emphasizing the importance of electoral reforms ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.

Oshiomhole recounted his experience in the 2012 re-election in Edo State, where he won in 18 local government areas without engaging in vote buying. He stressed the need for clear sanctions against vote buying and manipulation as provided by existing electoral laws.
