Delta Youths Encouraged to Embrace Modern Farming Techniques for Enhanced Productivity

The LIFE-ND project in Delta State is encouraging Delta youths to embrace modern farming techniques to improve agricultural productivity and income. Led by Damian Omar, the project focuses on upscaling nutrition and mainstreaming economic activities in agriculture.

Initiatives include training, mentorship, and the establishment of infrastructure like greenhouses in Agbor to cultivate high-quality, pest-free vegetables year-round. The project has already seen success with incubate trainees, such as Benson Omosigho, Osagi Ehinomen, and Fred Ozah, who have ventured into commercial vegetable cultivation.

Michael Stanley, another beneficiary, has received support to sustain his poultry business. The project aims to boost local market supplies and enhance farmers' livelihoods through innovative agricultural practices.
