Southern Kaduna Muslim Group Advocates for Political Inclusion

The Muslim Youth Forum of Southern Kaduna (MYFOSKA), led by National Chairman Dr K. Muhammed, called on politicians to engage all faiths fairly to ensure peace, democratic stability, and electoral success in Southern Kaduna.

This statement arose following the nomination of deputy governorship candidates by major political parties in Kaduna State, which predominantly featured Christian candidates. MYFOSKA clarified that their concern was not about the absence of Southern Kaduna representation in the deputy governor's office, as the current Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, hails from Sanga Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna.

Instead, the group emphasized the need for religious inclusion and equal political opportunities, asserting that the Muslim community in Southern Kaduna is a significant political constituency that should not be overlooked. They cautioned against inflammatory statements and unverified demographic claims that could escalate religious or ethnic tensions, urging politicians to maintain peace and promote dialogue within the region.
