FA to Withdraw Support for Infantino's FIFA Bid

The Football Association (FA) is preparing to formally withdraw its support for Gianni Infantino’s bid for another term as FIFA president. This decision follows the collapse of Infantino's controversial proposal to privatize the FIFA World Cup, which has faced significant backlash.

The Football Association of Wales has already announced its withdrawal of support, marking it as the first FIFA member association to do so. Reports indicate that the FA will notify FIFA in writing of its decision, intensifying the pressure on Infantino.

UEFA has also expressed a lack of confidence in Infantino's leadership, labeling the proposed World Cup sell-off as a “shabby, backroom deal.” Furthermore, UEFA is actively considering legal action regarding the failed proposal and has instructed Infantino to preserve all related documents and electronically stored information.
