Umo Eno Demands Timelines for Ibom Deep Sea Port Project

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has emphasized the need for clear execution timelines for the Ibom Deep Sea Port project. This request was made during a high-level technical engagement with project partners from Africa Global Logistics (AGL) in Paris on a Friday.

The governor's statement, issued by the state Commissioner for Information Aniekan Ummanah, highlighted the importance of defining milestones and actions required to move the project from the planning stage to execution. The session aimed to review a recently submitted technical feasibility report prepared by Worlei Parson, examining critical pathways for investment and long-term sustainability.

Governor Eno reiterated the necessity for accelerated project delivery, aiming to position Akwa Ibom State as a leading maritime trade and logistics hub in the Gulf of Guinea. He was accompanied by key officials including the chairman of the technical committee for the project, former NIMASA Director General Mfon Usoro, and other state delegates.
