David Mark Calls for Peaceful 2027 Elections in Nigeria

Senator David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on political actors to guarantee that the 2027 general elections are conducted in a peaceful environment characterized by tolerance and mutual respect. This appeal was made during his Eid-ul-Maulud celebration message, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja and signed by his Media Adviser, Kola Ologbondiyan, Mark emphasized that democracy thrives when citizens' rights and freedoms are upheld. He urged all stakeholders to prioritize national interests over partisan politics.

Mark described Eid-ul-Maulud as a time for reflection and a recommitment to values such as peace, justice, and compassion. He encouraged Nigerians, especially Muslims, to pray for the nation's peace, unity, and economic prosperity.

Mark reiterated the ADC's commitment to fostering a Nigeria where every citizen has equal opportunities, regardless of their background.
