David Mark Urges ADC Candidates to Avoid Violence

On Monday, David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed governorship candidates at a consultation meeting, warning them against making empty campaign promises that could undermine the electorate's trust in the party. He condemned hate speech and religious profiling, stating, “We cannot be associated with violence in whatever form.” Mark differentiated ADC's approach from that of the ruling party, asserting that ADC does not believe that all is fair in politics.

He urged candidates to familiarize themselves with the party’s Governance and Ethical Principles as outlined in its ‘Orange Book’ and its manifesto. The candidates expressed gratitude for the platform provided by the party and pledged their loyalty, committing to focus on reducing the cost of living for Nigerians, particularly through the reinstatement of fuel subsidies to lower fuel prices.
