Enugu Government Denies Viral Attack Rumor on UNN

The Enugu State government has officially addressed a viral post that suggested a potential attack on the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), labeling it as false and the work of criminal elements aiming to incite panic within the university community. The statement, issued on Monday by Dr. Malachi Agbo, emphasized the government's proactive security measures and commitment to safeguarding lives and property.

Governor Peter Mbah's administration has invested significantly in modern security infrastructure to enhance the effectiveness of security operations across the state. The government urged members of the university community and residents of Enugu State to remain calm and continue their lawful activities without fear.

It also recalled previous instances of similar false alarms, which had been proven unfounded, and reassured the public that security agencies are actively working to apprehend those responsible for spreading such misinformation.
