Igbo Etiti LG Chairman Receives Humanitarian Award

Dr. Eric Odo, the Chairman of Igbo Etiti Local Government Area, was honored with the Safety and Humanity Ambassador Award by Ambassador Stella Osigw at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) headquarters in Enugu.

Osigw appointed Odo as a patron of the Destiny Women and Child Foundation, emphasizing the importance of recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to society through humanitarian programs. She highlighted the foundation's commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, including widows and persons with disabilities, through initiatives such as monthly stipends.

Odo urged for the continuation of these beneficial projects and encouraged leaders to emulate the foundation's efforts. Elijah Etim Willy, the NSCDC Enugu State Command head, commended the foundation for honoring deserving individuals, including NSCDC officers, for their contributions to humanitarian service.
