NDC Launches Campaign in Oji River for Local Elections

On Thursday, the Enugu State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) commenced its campaign in Oji River Local Government Area ahead of the local government elections scheduled for September 26. The campaign was led by Dr. Johnpaul Anih, the State Chairman, alongside Dr. Sebastian Okafor, the State Secretary, and Dr. SKC Ogbonnia, the party's leader in Enugu State.

Addressing a large crowd at the Community Market Square in Egwu-Achi, Dr. Anih encouraged residents to vote for NDC candidates, promising a responsive and accountable administration. He emphasized the importance of assessing candidates based on their character and competence, vowing to displace the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dr. Okafor urged voters to choose leaders prioritizing public interests, while Dr. Ogbonnia called for support for NDC candidates, highlighting the need for accessible and accountable leadership. The NDC leaders also appealed to the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission and security agencies to ensure a fair election process.
