Enugu Rangers Wins Historic Ninth NPFL Title

Enugu Rangers won the 2025-2026 Nigeria Premier Football League title, marking their historic ninth league crown, by defeating Ikorodu City FC 2-1 at the Sundai Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos. The victory allowed Rangers to draw level with Enyimba FC in terms of league titles.

The team, managed by Fide Ilechukwu, needed to secure a win to guarantee the title, regardless of other match outcomes. Rangers delivered under pressure in a tense contest, overcoming challenges from Ikorodu City FC.

They finished the season with 68 points, just ahead of Rivers United, who ended with 67 points. This title win is a significant achievement for the Enugu-based club, further solidifying their status in Nigerian football.

Rangers will participate in the CAF Champions League next season as a result of their triumph.
