Enugu State Wins 3rd National Para Games Championship

Enugu State has been declared the overall champion of the 3rd National Para Games, which concluded on a Friday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium. The state achieved a total of 40 gold, 8 silver, and 7 bronze medals.

Bayelsa State finished second with 25 gold, 30 silver, and 34 bronze medals, while Edo State secured third place with 25 gold, 14 silver, and 12 bronze medals. The closing ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including Vice President Nana Kashim Shetima, who represented the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and various state ministers.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emphasized the administration's commitment to creating opportunities for athletes and ensuring that every Nigerian's life matters. The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, assured that the country’s para-athletes will continue to hold an important place in the commission's activities.
