Arsenal Signs Piero Hincapi for £45 Million, Four Players for Sale

Arsenal Football Club has officially triggered a £45 million deal to sign Ecuadorian international Piero Hincapi from Bayer Leverkusen, intending to keep him beyond the summer transfer window. This move is similar to the initial loan arrangement for goalkeeper David Raya from Brentford, who is expected to make a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Concurrently, Arsenal has reportedly placed four players—Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myle Lewis-Kelly—up for sale ahead of the summer transfer window. According to the Daily Telegraph, after spending £250 million last summer, Arsenal is aware that at least one first-team player will need to be sold to facilitate the permanent signing of Hincapi.

Martinelli and White are considered strong candidates for departure, with Martinelli no longer guaranteed a starting position under manager Mikel Arteta, and White becoming a bit-part player due to the presence of Jurrien Timber.
