Eddie Howe Departs as Newcastle United Manager

Eddie Howe has left his position as manager of Newcastle United after discussions with the club's hierarchy. This decision comes after a summer where the Magpies lost key players, including Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona.

There is also uncertainty surrounding their captain, Bruno Guimaraes, who is linked with a move to Arsenal. According to Sky Sports, these player departures influenced Howe's decision, raising concerns about the squad's composition for the upcoming season.

Newcastle has made some signings, including 20-year-old winger Bazoumana Toure from Hoffenheim for £42 million, 18-year-old midfielder Sean Steur from Ajax for £23 million, and 20-year-old goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Reims for £18.5 million. However, they missed out on Switzerland international Johan Manzambi, who chose to join Aston Villa.

The club has initiated the process of finding Howe's successor, with sporting director Ross Wilson and CEO David Hopkinson compiling a list of candidates.
