Carrick Defends Man Utd After Everton Draw in EPL

Michael Carrick, the current coach of Manchester United, defended his team's performance following a 2-2 draw against Everton on Sunday in the Premier League. Despite the draw, which saw United concede twice late in the match, Carrick stated that the start to the season has not been “that bad,” with the team earning only four points from their first three games.

He acknowledged the need to improve defensively, as United has conceded two goals in each of their matches thus far. Carrick noted that the team had opportunities to secure a win, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring for United and Benjamin Sesko restoring their lead late in the game.

However, Tyrique George and Ainsley Maitland-Niles scored for Everton, securing a point for the home side. Carrick also praised Marcus Rashford's return to form after a challenging period under former coach Ruben Amorim, highlighting his sharpness and threat during the game.
