Carrick Calls Job Security Concerns "Ridiculous" Ahead of Fulham Clash

Michael Carrick, the current manager of Manchester United, described the notion of questioning his future after "two or three" bad results as "ridiculous." His comments came ahead of a match against Fulham following a disappointing week for the team, which included a home loss to Manchester City and a defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup. Carrick stated he is "not bothered" by the pressure and is focused on the expectations of his role.

He acknowledged the team's struggles, having secured only two victories from six games this season, but insisted that it is "not a catastrophe or a disaster." Carrick noted that senior figures at Manchester United have not indicated that his position is under threat, instead highlighting the underperformance of several players. He expressed his commitment to the club and his enjoyment of the role, despite the challenges faced.

Carrick also mentioned that Luke Shaw and new signing Carlos Baleba "have a chance" to be fit for the match at Craven Cottage.
