Maresca Names Dias and Haaland as Man City Captains

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has officially named four players as captains for the club ahead of the new campaign. The appointed captains are Ruben Dias, Erling Haaland, Marc Guehi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

This decision aims to enhance leadership within the squad. Maresca also commented on his marquee signing, Enzo Fernández, stating that he is familiar with Fernández's capabilities and his winning mentality, which includes experience from winning the World Cup and the Club World Cup.

Maresca noted that several players had inquired about Fernández's potential arrival, indicating their desire to have him on the team. In response to Fernández's exit from Chelsea, coach Xabi Alonso emphasized the collaborative decision-making process within the club, focusing on building a strong team spirit and squad.
