Antoine Semenyo Faces New Racist Abuse on Social Media

Antoine Semenyo, a 26-year-old forward for Manchester City, has reported new incidents of racist abuse on social media, expressing his frustration and disappointment over the ongoing issue. He shared a screenshot of the abusive messages on Instagram, stating, "It's starting again." This incident follows a similar experience earlier in the season when he was subjected to racial abuse during a Premier League match against Liverpool while playing for AFC Bournemouth, where he scored twice in a 4-2 defeat.

Following that incident, police arrested and charged a man with a racial aggravation public order offense, and the case is currently ongoing in court. In response to the latest abuse, Manchester City has pledged to support Semenyo and provide necessary care.

The Football Association and Premier League have been alerted, and investigations are continuing. This situation underscores the broader pattern of racist abuse directed at players throughout the season, prompting calls for stronger measures to identify offenders and curb abuse on social media platforms.
