Tottenham Hotspur Reports Racism Against Kevin Danso

Following a 2-2 draw against Brighton in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur reported online racist abuse directed at their player Kevin Danso to the police. The incident occurred after Danso made an error in stoppage time that allowed Brighton's Georginio Rutter to score an equalizer, keeping Spurs in the relegation zone.

The 27-year-old became a target of vile and dehumanizing racism on social media, prompting Tottenham to issue a statement on Sunday condemning the abuse. The club emphasized their complete support for Danso and stated that no one at the club would stand alone in facing such discrimination.

They highlighted that racist abuse is a criminal offense and will not be tolerated, especially during the Premier League's "No Room for Racism" campaign. Danso responded on Instagram, asserting that the abuse does not define him and reaffirming his focus on the game.

The Premier League also condemned the behavior, warning offenders of potential bans and legal prosecution.
