Tinubu Expands Water Supply Project to Four Councils

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu, represented by his wife Oluremi Tinubu, inaugurated the Bwari township water supply network and announced plans to extend water supply projects to Kuje, Kwali, Gwagwalada, and Abaji Area Councils. This initiative is part of the Federal Capital Territory Administration's drive to provide potable water to underserved communities, aligning with Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda.

He emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental right and pledged that no part of the Federal Capital Territory would be left behind in this initiative. The project includes the construction of a 198-kilometer water pipeline network by China Geo-Engineering Corporation, aimed at reducing reliance on untreated boreholes and improving public health.

The project is expected to create approximately 1,600 direct and indirect jobs during construction. Tinubu urged residents to safeguard the newly completed facilities against vandalism, highlighting the importance of public assets built with taxpayer resources.
