Etsu Nupe Urges Pilgrims to Represent Niger State Well

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, addressed intending Muslim pilgrims in Niger State during a closing ceremony for pre-Hajj training in Bida. He urged the pilgrims to conduct themselves responsibly and act as worthy ambassadors for the state and Nigeria during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

Abubakar advised the pilgrims to be mindful of the rules and regulations governing the Hajj exercise and to avoid actions that could tarnish the image of the state and the country. He emphasized the spiritual significance of the pilgrimage as a platform to showcase Niger State's rich cultural and moral heritage.

The Etsu Nupe also encouraged the pilgrims to pray for peace, unity, and stability in Nigeria. He commended the Niger State Pilgrim Welfare Board for organizing a comprehensive enlightenment program for the pilgrims, stressing the necessity of adequate preparation for a successful Hajj experience.
